About BikeSafe CPH

Cyclists riding through a Copenhagen street

BikeSafe CPH is an independent guide for visitors who want to explore Copenhagen the way locals do - by bike, and safely. We bring together the rules of the road, scenic routes, and the practical things you need: where to rent a bike, where to fix one, and the cafes and sights worth stopping for along the way.

We are not affiliated with the City of Copenhagen or any public authority. We ride here every day, and we built this site to be the guide we wish tourists had.

How we choose recommendations

Our routes, sights and food-and-drink stops are picked editorially. We list a place because we think it earns a spot on a good ride - not because anyone paid to be there.

Some listings are paid placements. These are always marked with a clear "Partner" label, and they must meet the same quality bar as everything else on the site. Marking paid content is a legal requirement under the Danish Marketing Practices Act (Markedsforingsloven), and we take it seriously: if you ever see a recommendation without a label, you can assume no money changed hands.

Guidance, not legal advice

We work hard to keep the rules, fines and opening hours accurate, but traffic law and prices change. Everything here is general guidance, not legal advice. Always follow current Danish traffic law and the signs you see on the street.

Spotted something wrong?

Outdated opening hours, a shop that has closed, a route that needs a tweak? We would genuinely like to know. Get in touch and we will fix it quickly.
